I offer compassionate, evidence-based counseling services tailored to meet your unique needs. My approach is client-centered, trauma informed, and focused on helping you build skills, insight, and resilience in a supportive environment.
Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT)
CBT helps you understand how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. Together, we will work to identify unhelpful thinking patterns and develop healthier ways of responding to life’s challenges. CBT is effective for anxiety, depression, stress, panic, and many mood related concerns.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
DBT is a skills-based therapy that helps you manage emotions, improve relationships, and cope with distress in healthier ways. DBT emphasizes balance - accepting yourself while also working toward meaningful change. DBT is often helpful for emotional regulation, self-harm behaviors, relationship difficulties, trauma and chronic stress.
Trauma-Informed Care
Trauma-informed care recognizes the widespread impact of trauma and prioritizes safety, trust, and empowerment. Treatment is at your page and focuses on creating a supportive space where healing can occur without re-traumatization. This approach is beneficial for individuals with past trauma, PTSD, childhood adversity, or complex life experiences.
Person-Centered Therapy
You are the expert on your own life. Person-centered therapy emphasizes empathy, respect, and unconditional support while helping you explore your thoughts and feelings in a non-judgmental environment. This approach fosters self-awareness, confidence and personal growth.
Mindfulness-Based Approaches
Mindfulness techniques help you stay present, reduce emotional reactivity, and develop greater awareness of your thoughts and feelings. These practices are often integrated into therapy to support stress reduction, emotional balance, and overall well-being.
Individualized Treatment
I understand that no single approach works for everyone. I will collaborate with you to create a personalized treatment plan, often integrating multiple therapeutic methods to best support your goals and needs.
Insurance/Fees:
While I am unable to accept insurance at this time as a SWLC accruing supervised clinical hours toward full licensure, I do offer private pay sessions at a significantly reduced rate of $35.00 per session. I also provide sliding-scale options to help make therapy more accessible based on individual or financial need.
Jill Henry, SWLC, MSW
Jill earned a Master of Science in Psychology from Walden University in 2011 and a Master of Social Work from the University of Montana in 2025. She is a Social Work Licensure Candidate (SWLC) currently pursuing full clinical licensure under the supervision of a licensed clinical supervisor. She provides therapy services as a reduced, affordable rate while completing the required clinical hours for permanent licensure, with a commitment to ethical, compassionate, and high-quality care.
